employee is hired

temporarily for the purpose of

substituting for a regular employee

who may be absent from his or her

position for some valid reason, such as

extended sick leave, study leave,

military service, etc. His or her

services can be terminated at any time

and he or she must vacate the position

upon the return of the regular

employee.
