Drugs which are used in the treatment of cough. They promotes the ejection

of mucus (sputum) from the lungs, bronchi and trachea by increasing its fluidity (reducing

viscosity). Example: Potassium iodide (sedative expectorant), Eucalyptus, Lemon (stimulant

expectorant), Ammonium chloride, Potassium iodide.
